Apple starts catching up on demand for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros four months after launch

Apple has finally caught up with demand for its latest 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, with wait times for both lower-end models shortening significantly in the U.S., U.K. and Canada last month.

Across Apple’s entire MacBook Pro lineup, customers are facing at least a few weeks of estimated delays before receiving their 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro. Since then, Apple has significantly caught up with demand, as now, customers can get either model in its base configuration in two weeks or less.

Compared with just a few weeks ago, when wait times for the base models of the 14-inch and 16-inch laptops were 6 to 8 weeks, estimated delivery times for the two models with the M1 Pro chip are now just 5 to 7 weeks days or at most as of this writing, at least two weeks. However, supply improvements for just the ‌M1 Pro‌ chips will be stalled, as M1 Max configurations in both sizes are still limited and aren't expected to arrive until at least early April.
