Windows 11 Build 25151 is now available to testers in the Dev Channel, and it apparently comes with a long list of bug fixes. Meanwhile, there's a new hidden feature - a redesigned app/file "open dialog" that was first teased earlier this year and then removed from the build.

Windows 11 Build 25151 is not associated with any specific feature update, but it is considered part of next year's feature updates. Since Windows 11 23H2 is in the early stages of development, there are no new features. For example, the official changelog for Build 25151 does not mention any breaking changes.

However, Windows 11 Build 25151 includes a new feature – a new Open dialog box. When you right-click on any file and try to open it using a specific application, the Open With dialog box appears. The Open With dialog box was last refreshed in Windows 8 and has now been updated based on Windows 11 design principles.

As you can see in the screenshot above, Windows 11’s upcoming dialog supports both light and dark themes. If your device theme is set to dark, the Open with dialog box will automatically appear in dark color. This feature is not available to everyone and only appears on selected machines. It's unclear if the feature is coming to Windows 11 22H2, but it's possible Microsoft will push it through a future cumulative update.
