Samsung Display is developing new under-panel technology aimed at hiding the Face ID module in 2023’s “iPhone 15 Pro.”
While the iPhone 14 may ditch the pill and punch-hole design notch, the “iPhone 15 Pro” may ditch the pill entirely. Samsung is developing a new under-panel camera assembly that would allow Apple to effectively hide the Face ID module behind the screen.
This new technology will be rolled out to Samsung’s Fold product line for the first time in 2023. Samsung is working with Canada's OTI Luminotics to develop the technology, which involves "a patterned layer of metal using a cathode mask material."
Apple will launch the Face ID system located under the display in 2023. Face ID isn't the only technology rumored to be moving under the display, either. Many people, including Kuo, have said that Touch ID will return to iPhones in 2023, but will be placed under the display instead of in the home button.
The above is the detailed content of 'iPhone 15 Pro' Face ID technology will be hidden under the display. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
