In June 2022, we may see the Surface Laptop Go 2, the sequel to Microsoft’s first affordable Surface Laptop Go series. The launch of the next-generation Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is imminent, if a recent document released by a Korean retailer is anything to go by.
The retailer's listing, published last week, doesn't reveal new features for the next-gen hardware, but it does confirm that Microsoft wants to use Intel's 11th-gen processors in the Surface Laptop Go 2. The 11th-gen processor will be the i5-1135G7, which is expected to offer better performance compared to the 10th-gen CPU in the Laptop Go.
It’s worth noting that this is an update to the original Surface Laptop Go 2, and we don’t expect major changes to its design. However, the retailer has confirmed that the webcam will offer better HD performance than its predecessor.
According to the listing, this will be another incredibly thin and light laptop from Microsoft, measuring 0.62 inches thick and 2.45 pounds. It will also be affordable, so pricing will be similar to the original 2020 model.
Although the bottom of the laptop is plastic, Microsoft's Surface Laptop Go 2 uses a premium aluminum finish around the keyboard deck and display.
According to the Korean listing, the display of the device remains unchanged. It still has a 12.4-inch display, and you can expect the same build quality, which means Microsoft won't be using a plastic laptop chassis here. You can use your laptop without worrying about it getting damaged.
It also comes with USB-C, USB-A and 3.5mm headphone jacks. There is a fingerprint sensor, which can be accessed via the power button.
The release date for the device is unknown, but the retailer claims that pre-orders will begin on June 2.
As mentioned earlier, the Surface Laptop Go 2 will remain in the same price range and should start from $549 for the most basic version. Of course, if you choose a higher-end model, the price will go up. The entry-level model will come with the same RAM and storage configurations, namely 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC.
High-end models will come with a fingerprint sensor and up to 8GB of RAM, along with 128GB or 256GB of storage (SSD).
Microsoft also appears to be considering offering new protective cases for the new Surface, which will be bundled with them for free if you buy them from the retailer.
The above is the detailed content of Microsoft's new Surface Laptop Go 2 information leaked, may be launched soon. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
