Microsoft promises users a new voice recorder experience with more features coming soon

Ahead of the release of Windows 11 version 22H2 later this year, Microsoft is updating the apps that come with its operating system. Many apps have already received a design makeover, including MS Paint, Photos, Notepad, and even the new Outlook, which is confirmed for fall 2022.

Microsoft is now rolling out a new update for Windows 10-era Voice Recorder, with a new name: Voice Recorder. Windows 11's new audio recorder includes WinUI visuals with additional features, such as a new graph to better understand how often audio is recorded.

The updated Voice Recorder apparently replaces the Voice Recorder app and will be released to the public later this year.

The company confirmed that it is actively seeking feedback and suggestions from the Feedback Hub. You can submit feedback for this specific app under Apps > Sound Recorder.
