When it comes to protecting your private data, your iPhone passcode is the first line of defense. Here's how to set a stronger password than the default six-digit password you're probably already using.

如何在 iPhone 上设置更强的密码
If someone with malicious intentions finds your iPhone passcode, they could end up causing you all kinds of trouble. Accessing your iPhone content via password allows them to change your Apple ID password, allowing them to disable Find My so you can no longer find your device. They can use Apple Pay for contactless payments and have access to your iCloud Keychain password. They can even wipe your iPhone for resale.

This is why you should never share your password with anyone who is not a trusted family member. If something unusual happens and you need to loan your iPhone to someone who's not a family member, you can at least temporarily change the passcode to a different one and then change it back when the phone is back in your hands. (The steps below will show you how to do this.) If you're worried about strangers seeing you entering your ‌iPhone‌ passcode in public, the best solution is to use Face ID or Touch ID whenever possible. Your biometric information is stored in your device's Secure Enclave, which is much more secure than your password.

If for some reason you can't or don't want to use ‌Face ID‌ or ‌Touch ID‌, another option is to set a stronger password. By default, the ‌iPhone‌ passcode is six digits, but Apple includes options to create a four-digit passcode or a longer numeric or alphanumeric passcode.

The default six-digit password is clearly more secure than any four-digit password, and the strongest passwords use a combination of letters and numbers. Keep in mind that the longer and more complex your password is, the harder it will be to remember and the longer it will take to enter. If you have a bad memory for passwords, it's probably not the best idea to enter your password to make it more than six digits. With all that in mind, here's how it's done.

On ‌iPhone‌
. On a device with Touch ID, go to
  1. Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode. Scroll down and tap Change Password.
  2. Enter your existing password.
On the next screen, click 如何在 iPhone 上设置更强的密码Password Options
  3. .
  4. Select
  5. Custom Alphanumeric Code or Custom Numeric Code from the pop-up menu.
  6. Enter a new password combining numbers and letters. Enter the new password again to verify.
  7. Your new password is now set. The next time you lock your iPhone and try to unlock it, you'll be prompted for a new passcode.
