Apple releases macOS 12.4 RC with Studio Display webcam fixes and new podcast features

After four beta releases, Apple has made macOS 12.4 release candidate available to developers and public testers. This release supports the latest beta of the Studio Display webcam fix, as well as new features to help manage podcasts on Mac.

macOS 12.4 RC is now available OTA to developers and public testers who have signed up for the beta, and will be available soon from Apple’s developer site and public beta site. Today's beta comes with build number 21F79.

We don’t see much new in the first macOS 12.4 beta, but Apple did include a warning that if an iPad is running iPadOS 15.5, the Universal Controls feature will require a Mac to be in the latest beta.

Then in the third macOS 12.4 beta, Apple implanted the first beta for Apple Studio Display and fixed the webcam:

Now with macOS 12.4 RC, Apple will keep the latest Studio Display update separate from the macOS version, but it's still in beta.

Another change coming to macOS 12.4 RC is a new setting in the Podcasts app to limit the number of episodes stored and automatically delete old content.
