You'll soon be able to experience the Metaverse at Meta's upcoming physical retail stores
Meta will open its first brick-and-mortar retail store on May 9, 2022. The store will open on Meta’s campus in Burlingame, California. Customers will be able to experience all of Meta's hardware products first-hand at the store.
#Some of the products Meta will be showcasing include video call stories using Portal, Ray-Ban, and of course Meta Quest. The store will also feature displays and an interactive Quest 2 display wall, allowing people to explore the hardware. Users can try VR games such as Beat Saber, GOLF, Real VR Fishing or Supernatural on the large wall-to-wall curved LED screen in the immersive Quest 2 demo area. will replicate what they will see using the headset.
Meta Store head Martin Gilliard said:
“The Meta Store will help people connect with how our products can be gateways to the future metaverse. is selling the Metaverse, but hopefully people will come in and out knowing more about how our product will help them connect with it."
Meta said its goal is to show people its products today possibilities and give them some idea of the future. The company also aims to unveil the mysteries of the Metaverse to the public through this experience.
The Meta Store will be open Monday through Friday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT. Customers will be able to purchase Quest 2, Quest 2 accessories, and Portal devices from the store. For those interested in purchasing Ray-Ban Stories, retail associates will help customers order directly from Ray-Ban.com.
