AI voice fraud: 95% simulates human voice, 77% of those who connect suffer financial losses

According to the latest report released by McAfee, voice fraud based on artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly rampant, and 77% of people who receive fraudulent calls will cause financial losses.

The report mentioned two real cases. One of them used AI to simulate the victim’s relatives and expressed that they urgently needed money for something; the other used AI to simulate their daughter. A ransom was demanded from her mother, even though her daughter was not actually kidnapped.

Because AI voice cloning tools are so cheap and available, malicious parties can quickly and easily create voice clones.
