Microsoft has made a new Windows 11 Insider Preview available to testers on the Dev channel. The build number is 22533, and while it doesn't have a lot of changes, it has some notable changes.

Most notably, Microsoft has finally redesigned the pop-ups that appear when you adjust settings using your hardware. These include things like volume, brightness, camera on/off, airplane mode, and camera privacy. Unlike the previous black, they adjust according to light and dark modes.

新的 Windows 11 预览版终于重新设计了音量和亮度弹出按钮

The new design is designed to reflect the updated style of Windows 11. Keep in mind that Windows 11 was developed in a relatively short period of time, thanks to Microsoft taking advantage of the work-from-home boom in the PC market. The feature update slated to roll out this fall is more of a finished product, similar to what the original Windows 10 update (version 1511) was supposed to be.

Of course, while you could argue that this change comes months too late, others might argue that it's long overdue.

As for other new features in this version, you can now search for voice access from the taskbar and pin it to the Start menu just like you would any other app. There are 13 new touch keyboard themes for IME, emoji panel and voice input. Additionally, you can now uninstall the clock app.

Of course, there are a bunch of fixes and known issues.
