Microsoft's major summer gaming event is back this year, and the company today announced the official return of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The talk will be held this year on June 12 at 10 a.m. PT. If E3 2022 hadn't been canceled, it would have coincided with the usual E3 week of presentations.
The announcement was very simple, revealing only the date that fans can expect and a few trailers, with Microsoft saying, "The show will showcase amazing games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and our partners around the world."
Upcoming games for Xbox consoles, PC and cloud systems will be announced during the show, as well as a host of new Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass announcements. If we were to look back at previous years, it would have been a 90-minute presentation showcasing a series of trailers for upcoming projects from Xbox Game Studios, the team at Bethesda, and third-party publishers (both indie and AAA).
Bethesda’s most anticipated project at the moment is Starfield, and it has been confirmed that the space RPG will be a major focus of this showcase. Other internal Xbox projects we might see on stage include Fable, Avowed, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, and a reboot of Forza Motorsport, which is sure to have some surprises. Of course, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3, Outer Worlds 2, Everwild, and Contraband may also be part of the event.
The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will be streaming on June 12 on all major Xbox channels and in more than 30 languages.
