What’s new in KB5014019?

The highlight of this release is Windows Spotlight on the desktop, which has been developed from the 22H2 Beta channel scheduled for release later this year to the current 21H2 release.

Using this feature, the new picture will automatically appear as your desktop background, and you should know that it is already present on the lock screen.

How to activate Windows Spotlight?

1. Press Windows I to bring up the settings.
2. Select Personalize and click Background.
3. Under Personalization background, select Windows Spotlight.

The rest of the changelog for this release contains a number of fixes that have been implemented to make the latest operating system more stable and feature-rich.

• Fixed an issue that prevented the Application Counters section from being displayed in the Performance Monitor tool's performance report.

• Fixed an issue that caused blurry application icons in search results when the monitor's dots per inch (dpi) scaling was greater than 100%.

• Fixed an issue that could cause the system to stop responding when the user logs out when using Microsoft OneDrive.
• Fixed a known issue where recovery discs (CDs or DVDs) might not boot if you created them using the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) application in Control Panel. This issue occurs after installing Windows updates released on or after January 11, 2022.
