Huzhou City launches 'Taihu Core' plan to support the development of semiconductor and optoelectronics industries
According to news on May 20, Huzhou City has introduced a series of policies aimed at accelerating the "Taihu Core" plan and promoting the development of the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. These policies aim to inject new vitality into the region's technology industry and cover many aspects such as financing, research and development, and talent.
According to relevant policy documents, Huzhou City plans to establish an industrial fund with a total scale of no less than 20 billion yuan, mainly focusing on increasing investment in the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. In addition, more than 30 billion yuan of special project loans will be added, and fiscal interest discount funds will be arranged to support the introduction and promotion of semiconductor and optoelectronic industry projects, so that these projects can be put into production and reach production capacity as soon as possible.
According to ITBEAR Technology Information, the new policy also stipulates a number of other specific measures. This includes arranging 10 billion yuan in investment subsidies for semiconductor and optoelectronic projects, providing 15%-30% subsidies for equipment purchase and clean room decoration costs, and providing up to 100% subsidies for R&D and production site rental costs. In addition, 200 million yuan has been allocated for full-process support such as design, tape-out and packaging, and 200 million yuan for corporate research and development and public service platform construction.
In order to provide a better industrial environment, Huzhou City plans to allocate 10,000 acres of industrial land every year to build a number of high-standard professional factories for the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. This move aims to provide convenience to relevant companies so that they can quickly enter production.
In order to attract and cultivate outstanding talents, the new policy also allocates 200 million yuan to fund talent introduction and training. For top talents in the semiconductor and optoelectronics industries, comprehensive project funding of up to 100 million yuan will be provided, and employer salary subsidies will be provided based on 70% of their annual salary. The maximum annual subsidy amount is 2 million yuan. At the same time, the "South Taihu Elite Plan" will also be implemented for newly introduced talent startups in the semiconductor and optoelectronic industries, with the subsidy amount increased by 50%.
In addition, Huzhou City also plans to invest 100 million yuan to encourage investment and talent attraction in the semiconductor and optoelectronics industries. Units and individuals who have made significant contributions to Huzhou City's investment attraction will receive a maximum reward equivalent to 3% of the actual fixed asset investment.
