Proxy forwarding is not used in vue

May 23, 2023 pm 07:26 PM

When developing with Vue, we often need to interact with the backend API server. In order to avoid CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) problems, proxy forwarding is usually used in Vue configuration to forward requests. However, sometimes we need to interact directly with the API server without using a proxy. What should we do in this case?

1. Use a third-party library

If you don’t want to use VueCLI’s default proxy configuration, you can choose to use a third-party library to make requests. For example, we can use Axios to interact directly with the API server by setting request headers and related parameters when making requests.

First, we need to install Axios in the Vue project:

npm install axios --save
Copy after login

In the component that needs to make the request, we can use Axios like this:

import axios from 'axios'

axios.get('/api/getUserInfo', {
  headers: {
    'Content-Type': 'application/json'
  }
}).then(res => {
  console.log(res)
})
Copy after login

In the code, we Use the get method of Axios to make the request, and set the request header to contentType to application/json. In this way, you can directly initiate a request to the API server and obtain data.

2. Using Webpack Plugin

We can also use the Webpack plug-in to implement requests forwarded without using a proxy. The specific implementation is to set up a local server to replace the proxy server by cooperating with express and http-proxy-middleware plug-ins to achieve access to the API server.

First, we need to install the relevant plug-ins:

npm install express http-proxy-middleware --save-dev
Copy after login

Create a new server.js file in the project root directory to start the local server:

const express = require('express')
const proxy = require('http-proxy-middleware')

const app = express()

app.use('/api', proxy({
  target: 'http://api.server.com',
  changeOrigin: true,
  pathRewrite: {
    '^/api': ''
  }
}))

app.listen(3000, () => {
  console.log('Server is running at localhost:3000')
})
Copy after login

Here we pass Use http-proxy-middleware to forward the API server, and set target to specify the target server.

Then, add a script command in the package.json file to start the local server:

"scripts": {
  "dev-server": "node server.js"
}
Copy after login

Finally, set the baseURL to http:// in the axios configuration in the Vue project localhost:3000/api, you can directly initiate a request to the API server:

import axios from 'axios'

axios.defaults.baseURL = 'http://localhost:3000/api'

axios.get('/getUserInfo').then(res => {
  console.log(res)
})
Copy after login

In this way, we can directly initiate a request to the API server through the http://localhost:3000/api/getUserInfo address.

Summary

The above are two methods of using Vue for development without using proxy forwarding. While using proxy forwarding is an effective way to resolve CORS, in some cases it is more convenient to interact directly with the API server. Hope this article is helpful to you.
