IT House reported on May 25 that domestic Micro LED supplier JBD launched an optical machine called "Hummingbird" at the 2023 SID Exhibition (IT House Note: used for AR smart glasses display module). The core MicroLED microdisplay previously won the 2023 "Display of the Year" award at this SID. The optical machine is equipped with a 0.13-inch RGB display and will begin mass production in May.

According to JBD, Hummingbird is currently the smallest and lightest optical machine, with a volume of 0.4cc and a weight of 1.0g. The standard field of view is 30°, and it also supports customization of 25°~45° field of view. In the D65 white balance state, it can output 3~5 lumens of luminous flux, and with a high-quality optical waveguide, it can achieve an eye-catching brightness of 1800 nits; in terms of image quality, it supports 8-bit color depth and 16.77 million colors of full true color display, making it a lightweight AR Glasses offer more possibilities.
