Microsoft Surface Pro 8 starts getting May 2022 firmware update
Microsoft has begun pushing the May 2022 firmware update to Surface Pro 8 devices, adding fixes for several security vulnerabilities. It also has improved ink from the Surface Slim Pen 2. However, you don't get any functionality with this feature, but that's what to expect from a firmware update.
It’s important to note that Surface Pro 8 devices running Windows 10 October 2020 Update, 20H2, or later are getting it.

The latest firmware update for Surface Pro 8 is being rolled out gradually, which means users won’t be able to get the update today. However, the update will be available for all Pro 8 devices.
It’s worth noting that once you install it, you cannot go back to the previous version. Updating with the latest updates will keep your Surface up to date with all the latest updates, even if your Surface doesn't have the latest updates installed yet. You'll also need to restart your Surface to complete the installation.
Microsoft released a firmware version to Surface Pro 7 users earlier this month, which is scheduled to be released in May 2022.
