go language automated test Sample

With the rapid development of software development, automated testing plays an increasingly important role in the development process. Compared with manual testing, automated testing can improve the efficiency and accuracy of testing and reduce delivery time and costs. Therefore, mastering automated testing becomes very necessary.

Go language is a modern and efficient programming language. Due to its unique concurrency model, memory management and garbage collection mechanism, it has been widely used in Web applications, network programming, large-scale concurrency, distributed systems, etc. The field has a wide range of applications. In terms of automated testing, the Go language also has unique advantages.

This article will introduce how to use Go language to write automated test samples and explain in detail through sample code.

First of all, we need to understand the automated testing tool in the Go language-the testing package. Testing is a testing framework that comes with the Go language and is a standard package in the Go language. The testing package provides the following functions:

func TestXxx(*testing.T)    // 测试被测试函数
func BenchmarkXxx(*testing.B) // 基准测试被测试函数
func Example()            // 例子函数
Copy after login

Among them, the TestXxx and BenchmarkXxx functions are used to test the tested function and benchmark the tested function respectively. The Example function is used to write sample code.

Next, we use a simple example to demonstrate how to use the test package for automated testing.

Sample code:

package main

import (
    "testing"
)

func FibonacciRecursive(n int) int {
    if n < 2 {
        return n
    }
    return FibonacciRecursive(n-1) + FibonacciRecursive(n-2)
}

func TestFibonacciRecursive(t *testing.T) {
    var tests = []struct {
        input int
        want int
    }{
        {0, 0},
        {1, 1},
        {2, 1},
        {3, 2},
        {4, 3},
        {5, 5},
        {6, 8},
        {7, 13},
        {8, 21},
    }

    for _, test := range tests {
        if got := FibonacciRecursive(test.input); got != test.want {
            t.Errorf("FibonacciRecursive(%d) = %d, want %d", test.input, got, test.want)
        }
    }
}
Copy after login

In the sample code, we wrote a function FibonacciRecursive that calculates the Fibonacci sequence and automatically tested it through the test function TestFibonacciRecursive.

First, in the TestFibonacciRecursive function, we define a tests array, which contains the input and expected results of the first 9 numbers of the Fibonacci sequence. After that, we use a for loop to traverse the tests array and test each test case.

In each test case, we call the FibonacciRecursive function and pass in the input parameter test.input, and then use the if statement to determine whether the output result is equal to the expected result test.want. If they are not equal, we print the error message through the t.Errorf function.

Finally, we run the test function go test. If all test cases pass the test, the console outputs "ok"; otherwise, the corresponding test error message is output.

Through this example, we can see that it is very simple to use the test package for automated testing in the Go language. You only need to write the corresponding TestXxx function.

In short, the Go language has demonstrated its efficiency, simplicity and reliability in automated testing, providing us with better solutions. Of course, in practical applications, we also need to select appropriate automated testing tools and improve the testing architecture based on specific scenarios and needs to achieve the goals of improving software quality and accelerating delivery.
