


ECS launches Liva Z5E Plus with higher performance and larger storage space
According to news on June 6, computer manufacturer ECS launched a new series of Liva brand mini PCs at the Computex exhibition today. This range covers a variety of shapes, sizes and performance scenarios, giving users more choice.
According to the editor’s understanding, ECS’s Liva Z5 Plus is a compact computer with dimensions of 148 mm x 120 mm x 38 mm (5.8 inches x 4.7 inches x 1.5 inches). This mini PC is packed with powerful performance, supporting up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory and 15W Intel Raptor Lake-U series processors. Additionally, it features an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe Gen 4 solid-state storage, an M.2 2230 slot for wireless cards, and a 19V/ 90W power supply. It can connect up to four displays simultaneously via a set of ports, including one DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and one USB4 with DisplayPort Alternate Mode Gen 2 port, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Additionally, ECS also showcased the Liva Z5E Plus model, which is identical to the Liva Z5 The Plus is nearly identical in most respects, but the chassis is taller at 54mm (2.1 inches), providing more space for an optional 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. Liva Z5E Plus also provides additional port space with a choice of two COM ports or an HDMI input to meet the needs of video capture applications.
Separately, ECS also released a model called the Liva Z5F Plus, which features a passive cooling system and measures 242mm x 120mm x 30 mm (9.5 inches x 4.7" x 1.2"), equipped with a heat sink on top for passive cooling. Liva Z5F Plus has the same features as Liva Z5E Plus similar features, including support for optional 2.5-inch drives and COM ports, but no HDMI input option.
Currently, ECS has not announced the pricing and availability of these new products. Users can expect to learn more about these mini PCs soon and choose the model that suits their needs.
