AAC Technology announced that its 3P VR Pancake optical module has successfully entered the mass production stage. According to reports, this module uses the same Pancake optical design as Apple’s Vision Pro lenses.

AAC Technology stated that the mass-produced 3P VR Pancake solution has the characteristics of a thinner and lighter host, a wider field of view, more effective suppression of ghost images, a friendlier myopia experience, and clear edge image quality. Rui claims that it cooperated with optical waveguide manufacturer Dispelix to develop a single-layer full-color optical waveguide lens, achieving a balance between the single-layer optical waveguide lens setup and large viewing angle and high image quality.

According to the opinions of professionals, the development trend of VR optics is gradually shifting from "aspheric lens" to "Fresnel lens" and "Pancake" technology.
