According to news on June 17, according to ECSM_Official, a reliable blogger at Station B, Intel plans to launch a series of new Core processors and make some adjustments to their naming. The accuracy of these messages needs further confirmation, so we cannot be sure of their authenticity until confirmed.

According to ECSM_Official’s revelations, the 14th generation Intel Core processor will be launched in October, which is an improvement based on the minor upgrade of the 13th generation Core. K-series processors are expected to launch first, while non-K-series processors are likely to be released between November and December. In this update, Intel may also introduce a model with 8P 12E core, and the new processor will support 600/700 series motherboards.

In addition, it is understood that Intel Core Ultra 1st generation processor "Meteor Lake" is expected to debut on the mobile platform in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, according to the latest news, the plan for "Meteor Lake" on the desktop is expected to be canceled and replaced by the next-generation processor "Arrow" Lake-S". This desktop processor will use TSMC's N3 process, maintain the 8P 16E core size, and is expected to be launched from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2025.

In addition, in terms of workstation processors , the W-2500/W-3500 series processors are planned to be launched in early 2024 and will still support W790 motherboards.

It is worth noting that Intel previously announced that it will divide the Core brand into the new Intel Core for flagship products Ultra series and the Intel Core processor brand for mainstream products. The new naming methods will be Intel Core Ultra 5/7/9##xx and Intel Core processor 3/5/7##xx. However, the 13th generation Core HX and the slightly upgraded Core 14th generation processors will not adopt this latest naming system for the time being, and will still retain the naming rules of the i series.

The above is the detailed content of Intel plans to launch Core 14th generation processors, and the Core K series may be available in October. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
