


National Youth Drone Competition Chongqing Trials Begins with 1,252 Primary and Secondary School Students Participating
On July 1, the Chongqing Primary and Secondary School Drone Competition, the First Chongqing Youth Drone Challenge and the Seventh National Youth Drone Competition Chongqing Trials were held at Chongqing Institute of Electronic Engineering. The competition lasted for two days and attracted 1,252 primary and secondary school students to participate.
The National Youth UAV Competition is hosted by the China Aeronautical Society. It is an authoritative, professional, fair and influential national competition in the field of youth UAVs in my country. It is worth mentioning that this is also the first time that the National Youth Drone Competition is held in Chongqing.
This Chongqing selection competition is divided into 26 competitions in 5 categories: network, selection, rotary wing, fixed wing, and creative. A total of 1,003 teams and 1,252 primary and secondary school students from 23 districts and counties and 203 schools participated. , covering the age groups of primary school, junior high school, and high school (including technical secondary school and vocational high school).
The online competition is the Chongqing Youth Aerospace Knowledge Network Competition; the selection competition is the Chongqing Primary and Secondary School Aerospace Science Popularization Works Exhibition; the creative competition is the UAV Logistics Application Scenario Creative Programming Contest (online answering questions and submitting programming works); the rotor-wing competitions include individual flight competition (city competition), individual flight competition, logistics handling competition, team relay flight competition, aerial combat competition, individual aerial shooting competition, programming challenge competition, mecha master obstacle maze competition, and cross-country flight competition. Obstacle strike competition, "Thunder Flying" competition and other competitions; fixed-wing competition is simulated flight emergency landing challenge.
According to the relevant person in charge, the competition integrates technology, competition, and entertainment, spreads aviation culture, popularizes aviation knowledge, and assesses contestants’ control abilities, spatial judgment abilities, programming abilities, creative abilities, teamwork and other abilities. It aims to improve the manual and mental abilities of young people, so as to better "promote learning through competition", create a stage for the city's young people to learn skills, demonstrate innovation and practical abilities, encourage them to actively participate in competition, and feel the belt of aviation through personal experience. According to reports, the 2023 Seventh National Youth Drone Competition will be held at the Nanping International Convention and Exhibition Center in Nan'an District, Chongqing from August 10 to 13. There will be participants from more than 30 provinces, cities, and More than 15,000 contestants from the district participated.
