KB5027301 simplifies notification control for Beta channel

It’s time to talk about Windows 11 again, so if you are a fan, you are definitely in the right place to catch up on some news.

Why? Well, because Microsoft just released build 22621.1900 and build 22631.1900 (KB5027301) to the beta channel for Windows 11 Insiders.

Before we dive in, though, we want to remind you that the Redmond tech giant recently released security updates for all operating systems via Patch Tuesday.

A total of 69 vulnerabilities were discovered and addressed, so you may want to check them out and stay up to date.

See what’s new on the Windows 11 Beta Channel

If you’re a Windows 11 Beta Channel Insider, that means you received preview builds 22621.1900 and 22631.1900 available today.

There's not much to see here, but there are a few changes Microsoft mentioned as part of the latest version.

Please keep in mind that builds previously using build 22624 will be automatically moved to build 22631 by enabling the package.

This package artificially inflates the update build number and rolls out new features and turns them on to make it easier to distinguish them from newer devices that have features turned off by default.

Changes and Improvements

[General]

• To minimize the intrusion of notification toasts, we now detect whether the user is interacting with Toast interaction and provide suggestions to close the Toast banner for such applications. This will only prevent the banner from showing, you can still find the Toast in Notification Center. This feature is starting to roll out, so not all Insiders in the Beta channel will see it right away.

[Network]

• Passpoint Wi-Fi networks will now support enhanced connection performance and will display URLs in Quick Settings , to provide users with information about a venue or event.

That's pretty much all we're looking at. This is one of the smallest Beta channel updates we've received in a while, as we've mentioned before.

What should I do if I can't install Windows 11 KB5027301?

1. Press to access "Settings". WinI
2. Select the System category and click Troubleshoot.
3. Press the Other Troubleshooting button.
4. Press the Run button next to Windows Update.
