According to news on July 7, Zhongke Lanxun recently released a new Bluetooth audio chip called AB5656A2/C2, specially designed for wireless Bluetooth headsets. The chip supports the latest Bluetooth 5.4 connection protocol and is widely used in OWS headsets.

According to the editor’s understanding, Zhongke Lanxun’s AB5656A2/C2 Bluetooth audio chip is equipped with an intelligent noise reduction algorithm (ENC), which can significantly improve the clarity of voice calls. In addition, the chip also combines a 30mW drive capability and supports bass enhancement technology to provide users with a more superior audio experience.

The chip uses a 32-bit RISC-V processor with DSP instructions in hardware, with a main frequency of up to 125MHz. At the same time, it has built-in 113KB memory and 2M bit (AB5656A2)/1M bit(AB5656C2) flash memory provides powerful computing and storage capabilities for the headset.

From the perspective of audio performance, the AB5656A2/C2 chip supports a maximum output power of 9dBm TX power, and is equipped with a 16-bit mono DAC (signal-to-noise ratio reaches 102dB , and has a headphone amplifier output) and a single-channel ADC (signal-to-noise ratio reaches 94dB) audio codec. It can adapt to a variety of sampling rates, including 8/11.025/12/16/22.05/32/44.1/48KHz.

Zhongke Lanxun’s latest Bluetooth audio chip brings excellent audio performance and a better call experience to OWS headsets. OWS headphones are an open-back wearable stereo headset. Different from traditional in-ear TWS headphones, OWS headphones adopt an open-back design to ensure the comfort of long-term wearing.

However, the open design increases sound loss during transmission and makes it more susceptible to external sound interference. Although the sound quality is not comparable to that of in-ear headphones and does not support active noise reduction, it is still incomparable regardless of the same configuration.
