Microsoft has improved the snipping tool in Windows 11. Here are the changes
Microsoft seems to want to rename the Snipping Tool, its popular application that allows users to take screenshots of their computer screen in the latest update available in the Canary channel for Windows Insiders. Additionally, there are some notable changes here and there.
This is what is happening. Windows enthusiast @XenoPhanter first spotted this change in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25941. When updating the Snipping Tool in Canary, the user is now asked if they want to turn on ms-screenclip in Screenshot or Snipping Tool. The apps have different logos and names, but they do the same thing, so it's unclear why Microsoft made this change.

Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc, who leads the Windows Insider program team, said this is a “known issue.”
In a dedicated blog post about the change, Redmond officials also said they are bringing some changes to the app. From now on, you'll see a "Combo Capture Bar" so you can easily jump between screenshots or screen recordings with just one click using a shortcut (Win Shift S or R).
Not only that, but you can also adjust the default recording settings for new screen recordings, so that’s good news if you’re someone with multiple recording devices – the changes worked flawlessly in our testing !
