Publisher Humble Games is currently becoming more alert to the legal issues that may arise from using AI technology in games. In an interview with Game Developer, Humble executive vice president and general manager Alan Patmore explained that the company is now more cautious about avoiding copyright issues for the technology.
Patmore said: "I think part of it is thinking about how to evaluate the tools that developers are using so that we don't get into the situation where 'the tool pulls out the data and then all of a sudden a large number of developers don't have it in their games.
