IT House learned from Google officials that sometimes users will be looking for specific images but cannot find exactly what they want. To that end, starting today (Thursday local time), Google will launch the creation of images using artificial intelligence-driven generative search experiences (SGE). For example, a user who wants to make a card for a friend who loves cooking and whose favorite animal is a capybara can use this feature to search for something like "Draw a picture of a capybara wearing a chef's hat and cooking breakfast" and SGE will Provide up to four generated images in the results. Based on the search results, users can further edit the description and add more details to turn their vision into reality.
Google is also launching a feature in SGE called “About this Image” that will help people easily assess the context and credibility of an image. For example, it might show the user when Google first saw a similar version of the image; or show the user other pages on the web that use a similar image, including news or fact-checking sites.
Google has also introduced written drafts in SGE. Users can use this feature to shorten drafts or change the tone to be more casual. When users are ready to add a personal touch, drafts can be easily exported to Google Docs or Gmail
The above new AI features have now been added to Google’s Search Lab program, and users can register and apply for experience through the Google app or Chrome client.
