


AI is so hot, NVIDIA wins! The next generation of GPU comes out half a year ahead of schedule
According to reports, NVIDIA’s next-generation Blackwell B100 GPU was originally planned to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024, but the current demand for AI is so hot that the release time has been advanced to the second quarter.
The Blackwell architecture will be used in high-performance computing and games. The core number of the former is B100, and the core number of the latter is the B20x series. Of course, game cards will not be in a hurry and will definitely have to wait until 2025.
There are also reports that B100 computing card will exclusively use the next generation HBM3e high-bandwidth memory of South Korea's SK Hynix.
NVIDIA has received early samples of SK Hynix HBM3e in August and is expected to obtain the official version early next year for final quality testing.
Currently, NVIDIA has occupied as much as 90% of the AI GPU market. Both A100 and H100 are hard to find, and production capacity is extremely tight.
