By introducing new clock control technology, the standby power consumption of GDDR7 video memory is reduced by 50% compared to the previous GDDR6, which further reduces the overall power consumption of the device.

In terms of performance, Samsung said that compared with the current fastest 24Gbps GDDR6 DRAM, the performance of GDDR7 video memory has increased by 40% and the energy efficiency has increased by 20%.

In terms of speed, Samsung’s first batch of GDDR7 products have a rated transmission speed of up to 32Gbps, which is 33% higher than GDDR6 video memory. Under the 384-bit bus interface, a bandwidth of up to 1.5TB/s is achieved.
