Microsoft is rolling out collaboration and productivity features for Edge called Workspaces in a limited public preview. It allows users to group tabs and invite others to join the workspace.
Workspaces help separate browsing tasks into dedicated windows, allowing users to stay focused and organized across tasks. This feature allows you to create a space in Edge for dedicated travel and research, complete with your own name, tab set, and favorites.

How to lock a tab in the Edge workspace
- While in the workspace, right-click on the tab
- Select "Lock Tab"
- To lock multiple tabs in the workspace, select "Lock All Tabs"
After a tab is locked, you can no longer close, drag, or move out of the workspace window. Unless you unlock it.
