Microsoft Visual Studio introduces smart naming suggestion feature
IT House reported that paid users of Visual Studio Preview can now get AI suggested names of variables, methods and classes by using the GitHub Copilot Chat extension
Microsoft says that the purpose of the extension is not just to provide a name suggestion, but to focus on the user's coding style in order to "provide seamless identifiers for your code base"
To use the new tool, users simply select an identifier and right-click. Next, users can see a list of suggestions tailored to their code. When the user finds the naming suggestion they want, just press Enter to use
Of course, this feature requires payment, and users need to subscribe to GitHub Copilot. The monthly fee for individual users is US$10 (approximately RMB 71), or the annual fee is US$100 (approximately RMB 714); the monthly fee for Copilot Business users is US$19 (approximately RMB 136); the monthly fee for Copilot Enterprise users For 39 US dollars (about 278 yuan)
After subscribing to GitHub Copilot, users need to install the latest Visual Studio Preview version and update the GitHub Copilot Chat extension. The user then needs to go to Options > GitHub > Copilot chat and check the "Enable rename suggestions" option
