People usually raise their volume slightly when talking to AI voice assistants, but this may lead to issues such as privacy leaks.
According to Engadget, South Korea’s VTouch company launched a WHSP Ring at CES 2024, which allows users to whisper to AI assistants.
This ring is equipped with a distance sensor and a microphone, and users only need to raise it to their mouth to activate it. In this way, users can communicate with the AI assistant just by whispering into their knuckles.
The ring has a battery life of about one and a half days, and the charging box supports a maximum battery life of 9 days. In addition, the ring is also equipped with a button that can be clicked five times in a row to trigger the emergency function, send emergency alerts to the contacts set by the user, and record the surrounding environmental sounds.
VTouch plans to launch the WHSP Ring through crowdfunding on Kickstarter in the near future. IT Home has not yet found pricing information.
