Today I created a virtual machine in vmware16 and installed the system. I accidentally damaged the system in the virtual machine and could not enter the system desktop. However, there were many files in it that still needed to be used, so I had to figure out how to use them. The file is copied. How to copy the file? Let’s take a look at the detailed tutorial below.
First we open the vmware16 window, open our virtual machine inside, and select to edit the virtual machine settings.
Select our Hard Disk virtual hard disk option on the left, and select Mount Disk...mount disk on the right.
Then you will be prompted to enter the user password. Because we use the Linux system for the physical machine, we choose Linux FS partition.
We can choose the location we need to mount. Here we use the default mnt partition and then mount.
Then wectrl alt topen the terminal, and use thenautilus mnt command to open our mnt folder.
Now we find that the files in our virtual machine system are in the folder. In the user folder, we can find the location of our files such as the user document desktop and just copy them out.
