Students who follow Qijiang Jam will know that Douyin has become increasingly strict in controlling the quality of content on the platform.
In the past year, classmate Guo has shared with you that Douyin has successively launched rectifications on behaviors such as live streaming, false support for farmers, illegal eating and broadcasting, and bad PK.
Many netizens expressed their support for this.
After all, for a software targeting nearly 800 million users, it affects many users’ experience and even values.
As the time comes to 2024, Douyin still has not relaxed its control over content, and made a big move at the beginning of the year.
On January 3, Douyin launched the strictest new rule-the "health points" system.

It is worth mentioning that as early as September last year, Douyin announced the "Douyin Live Health Sub-Trial Operation Announcement" out of its focus on managing live broadcast content.
The content mentioned that the platform will use the health score to judge the health status of the live broadcast behavior, and implement ladder management for the anchors and accounts.
After 4 months of trial operation, this new rule has finally been officially launched.
This move means that in the future, all platform anchors will have to start the "point-based employment" mode.
Next, classmate Guo will take you through the details to see how strict this new rule is.
First of all, the initial health score of each anchor is 100 points.
If you apply through a high-quality anchor, the upper limit of the score can be increased to 110 points. If you apply through a professional anchor, the upper limit of the score can be increased to 120 points.
Different score ranges correspond to the traffic and revenue space of anchors at different levels.
The next step is the core "point deduction" link.
According to the "Health Points Deduction Rules", anchors generally deduct 1-2 points for each violation, 2-4 points for moderate violations, and 4-8 points for serious violations.
In addition, the intensity of deduction points is also determined by the anchor’s level and influence.
For example, anchors with less than 100,000 fans, or with an average peak number of live broadcast room viewers less than 20,000 in the past 7 days, are rated Level 1.
Anchors with fans between 100,000 and 1 million, or average online peak numbers of 20,000 and 50,000, are Level 2.
Anchors with more than 1 million fans, or an average peak number of more than 50,000, are level 3.
The higher the level of the anchor, it means that he will face stricter supervision and the corresponding punishment measures will be more severe.
For the same illegal content, Level 2 and Level 3 anchors will be deducted an additional 1-5 points.
If points are deducted frequently, it will directly affect the account's traffic and income.
Finally, there are specific penalties and incentives.
According to the introduction, anchors whose health score is lower than 70 will have their recommendations reduced and the number of PKs in a single day will be limited.
Anchors with a health score lower than 40 will be directly banned from using the PK function.
If the health score is lower than 20 points, on the basis of the above, the platform will also withdraw the gift reward function and impose restrictions on the withdrawal of income.
Anchors with 0 points will have their live broadcast rights permanently revoked.
In addition, corresponding to the deduction system, there is also a bonus point system.
According to the introduction, anchors who complete online education or continue to comply with live broadcasts will have the opportunity to get extra points.
Specifically, if the anchor broadcasts live for 2 hours a day for 5 days without violating the rules, 5 points can be added, with an average of 1 point added per day.
It must be said that the new regulations for anchors are relatively reasonable and comprehensive in considering all the details.
It is reported that on the first day when the health sub-system was launched, nearly 5,000 anchors had their live broadcast recommendations reduced, restricted functions, and even their live broadcast permissions permanently revoked. Among them, 303 anchors had their permission to receive gifts turned off.
Prior to this, Douyin’s punishments for platform anchors were only one-time warnings, interruptions or temporary withdrawal of live broadcast permissions, etc.
The punishment time is too short and the intensity is not enough, which to a certain extent condones the anchor's illegal behavior.
With the health score system, it is based on the long-term performance of the anchor and various comprehensive indicators, and there are also stepped penalties, which is still of great reference significance.
I hope that with the support of this new regulation, Douyin’s live content ecosystem will become healthier and healthier!
