How to update payment methods via Family Sharing on iPhone?

If you are an organizer of the Apple Family Sharing plan on your iPhone and have Purchase Sharing turned on, you can manage different Family Sharing payment methods for family members purchasing using the App Store.


Be sure to do the following two things before changing the payment method on your iPhone through Family Sharing:


1 : Make sure Home Sharing purchases are charged to the correct card.

Two: Remove expired cards from Apple’s Family Sharing to prevent purchases from being declined.


  • Open iPhone and enter settings;

  • Click the profile icon;

  • Click on name; (Face ID or passcode may be required to proceed to the next screen.)

  • Click on Manage Payments;

  • Click the payment method to edit;

  • Tap "Edit" to update the Apple payment details or make changes;

  • Tap to delete the payment way to delete it.


Here are the steps to change the payment method on your iPhone through Family Sharing:


  • Open iPhone and enter settings;

  • Click on the profile icon;

  • Click on the name;

  • Click Manage Payments, "Edit";

  • The top card shown in the list is our primary payment method. To change, click and drag Move the Move Order icon to move another card to the top and click Done to save the changes.


How to update payment methods via Family Sharing on iPhone?
