According to news from this site on January 9, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) launched two redesigned gaming notebooks, Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16, at the CES 2024 exhibition.
New design
These two gaming laptops are designed to be thinner and lighter, with an edge-to-edge keyboard and a larger touchpad. And larger keycaps, upgraded speaker system, the volume is increased by 25%, the audio effect is improved by 47%, and the bass response can be as low as 100Hz.
Zephyrus G14 / G16 two gaming notebooks use a new CNC-processed aluminum body, equipped with a new light matrix, platinum moon white / eclipse gray color scheme. The G14 is approximately 0.62 inches thick and weighs 3.3 pounds. The G16 is 0.58 inches thick and weighs 4 pounds.
Equipped with a new Nebula screen
Both Zephyrus G14 / G16 gaming notebooks use ROG Nebula displays, which are composed of OLED panels, which can improve color accuracy and support 16:10 aspect ratio, VESA DisplayHDR, True Black 500 and 1000000:1 contrast ratio.
The G14 uses a 120Hz panel and supports 3K resolution; on the G16, it achieves a maximum 240Hz 2.5K resolution. Up to 240Hz high refresh 0.2ms fast response, equipped with a new OLED screen with high dynamic definition, strong color expression, and supports G-SYNC anti-tear technology.
Powerful hardware
Zephyrus G14 / G16 two gaming laptops use AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor and support AMD Ryzen AL.
The G14 also features Windows Studio Effects capabilities and is available with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU.
G16 comes with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.
Both Zephyrus G14 / G16 gaming laptops adopt intelligent cooling systems. ASUS installed a high-performance liquid cooling compound on the CPU, paired with second-generation Arc Flow fans for cooling.
G16 models powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 laptop GPU or RTX 4090 offer a custom VapourChamber with dual fans to support proper cooling.
