According to news on February 1, CMOS image sensor supplier SmartSky today announced a 50-megapixel image sensor product for mobile phone applications - SC5000CS.
As a 0.702μm pixel size image sensor, this new back-illuminated (BSI) product is equipped with SmartSmart SFCPixel-SL technology, supports PDAF phase detection focusing, is 1/2.5 inches in size, and can be used for the main camera of smartphones.
SC5000CS is equipped with SFCPixel-SL technology, which is developed based on SmartSite's SFCPixel patented technology architecture. Through in-pixel double conversion gain design, it improves the dynamic range of the image sensor and obtains better darkness. Field noise performance. According to official tests, the read noise (RN) and fixed noise (FPN) of SC5000CS are as low as 1.0e- and 0.2e- respectively, which are significantly reduced by about 33% and 43% respectively compared with products of the same specifications in the industry. Its pixel Response non-uniformity (PRNU) is relatively reduced by about 54%, making the picture details more delicate. In terms of high dynamic range mode, SC5000CS supports double exposure non-overlapping HDR and line overlap HDR (2-exp NHDR / SHDR) modes.
