This is the 11th consecutive quarter of annual declines for the market, although the decline has gradually narrowed. In 2023, China's smartphone market will ship 261.7 million units, a year-on-year decrease of -5.8%.
In terms of manufacturers, Huawei’s strong return is reshaping China’s smartphone market, putting pressure on all competitors.
This quarter, Apple regained the top spot in the Chinese market with a 20% market share, but its performance was lower than the market, with shipments showing a double-digit decline.
Honor and vivo followed closely with market shares of 17% and 16% respectively. The market share and shipments of these two manufacturers dropped significantly compared with the same period last year.
