In the fourth quarter of 2023, the global true wireless earphones (TWS) market showed a steady growth trend, with shipments increasing by 6.5% year-on-year, an increase of 5 million units compared with last year. Although Apple still ranks first with a market share of 29% and shipments of 24.6 million units, its shipments fell 13% year-on-year due to macro factors and product cycles.
Through the launch of the new active noise reduction product Galaxy Buds FE and the steady performance of JBL, Samsung’s shipments increased by 23% and its market share reached 9%, further consolidating its second position in the market.
Xiaomi achieved double-digit growth through a flexible multi-SKU strategy, successfully surpassing BoAt and regaining the third position with a year-on-year growth rate of 54% and shipments of 5.4 million units.
BoAt and Edifier ranked fourth and fifth with market shares of 5% and 3% respectively. In addition, although the current market share of open-type true wireless headphones is relatively small, its growth trend is positive and its future development potential is optimistic.
