This document object model allows access to all document content and modifications, as specified by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Almost all modern browsers support this mode.
The W3C DOM specification contains most of the features of traditional DOM, but also adds new and important features. In addition to supporting forms[ ], images[ ], and other array properties of the document object, it defines methods that enable scripts to access and manipulate any document element, not just specialized elements like forms and images.
