According to the official website of East China Civil Aviation, today the Civil Aviation Administration of East China issued the V2000CG unmanned aircraft system type certificate to Fengfei Technology Company. This is the first type certificate for an unmanned ton-level electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft issued by China’s civil aviation system. V2000CG has a maximum takeoff weight of 2 tons, is purely electric powered, autonomously driven, and has a carrying capacity equivalent to that of a small helicopter. It is suitable for a range of 200 kilometers and is mainly used for low-altitude logistics, emergency material transportation and emergency rescue. Customers include large logistics companies, general aviation logistics service operators, emergency rescue service providers and government departments. Compared with helicopters, it is quieter and more environmentally friendly, and its operating and maintenance costs are much lower than helicopters.
