Method: Use the ALT ENTER key combination

 1. to select the cell where you want to enter multiple lines of text.
 2. Enter the first line of text.
 3. Hold down the ALT key and press the ENTER key at the same time.
 4. Enter the second line of text.
 5. Release the ALT key.

Now the text will be displayed in two lines within the cell.

Example:

In cell A1, enter the following text:

第一行
第二行

Copy after login

Press and hold ALT ENTER to display the text in two lines .

Note:

 • After inserting a line break using this method, the cell height will not be automatically adjusted. The cell height needs to be manually adjusted to accommodate all the text.
 • In some cases, this method may conflict with other features in Excel, such as formulas and conditional formatting.
