PhpStudy port is occupied Solution

PHPstudy is an integrated development environment that uses a specific port to run. If these ports are occupied by other applications, PHPstudy will not start properly. Here are the steps on how to resolve this issue:

1. Determine the occupied port

To determine the occupied port, follow these steps:

  • Open the command prompt.
  • Run the command netstat -ano | findstr "443".
  • Find processes that meet the following conditions:

    • The port number is 443
    • The program name is php-cgi.exe or similar

2. Stop the hogging process

Once you have identified the hogging process, use the following steps to stop it:

  • Find the corresponding process in Task Manager.
  • Right-click the process and select "End Task".

3. Modify the PHPstudy port

If the occupying process cannot be stopped, you can modify the port used by PHPstudy. Please follow the steps below:

  • Open PHPstudy Control Panel.
  • Click on the "Apache" tab.
  • In the "Port" field, enter a new port number, such as 8888.
  • Click the "Save" button.

4. Restart PHPstudy

After modifying the port, restart PHPstudy:

  • Stop PHPstudy.
  • Start PHPstudy again.

5. Verify that the issue has been resolved

After restarting PHPstudy, try to access your website to verify that the issue has been resolved. If the problem persists, try the following additional steps:

  • Make sure your antivirus software or firewall is not blocking PHPstudy's ports.
  • Try using a different port number.
  • Reinstall PHPstudy.
