Chinese people don't love iPhone anymore! Apple releases new financial report: Greater China revenue continues to decline, Cook responds

On May 3, Apple released its financial report. Total net revenue in the second fiscal quarter was US$90.753 billion, a 4% decrease compared with US$94.836 billion in the same period last year.

The financial report shows that the net profit for this fiscal quarter was US$23.636 billion, a decrease of 2% compared with US$24.160 billion in the same period last year.

By region:

Apple’s revenue in the Americas in the second fiscal quarter was US$37.273 billion, down from US$37.784 billion in the same period last year;

Europe Department revenue was US$24.312 billion, an increase compared with US$23.945 billion in the same period last year; Greater China revenue was US$16.372 billion, a decrease of 8% compared with US$17.812 billion in the same period last year;

Japanese division revenue was US$6.262 billion, down from US$7.176 billion in the same period last year;

Revenue in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region was US$6.723 billion, down from US$8.119 billion in the same period last year The U.S. dollar has declined.

Regarding the continued decline in revenue in Greater China, Apple CEO Cook responded that in addition to the iPhone, there are still areas that need work in China’s business, and we must not lose the Chinese market.

Apple CEO Cook also predicts that total revenue (next fiscal quarter) will grow by "low single digits"; in the next fiscal quarter, service revenue and iPad sales are both expected to grow by double digits.
