In Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land, crafting requires more than just recipes and ingredients; you'll need Particles to activate them. This guide explains how to find and utilize these crucial components.
Acquiring Particles
Particles are primarily obtained from Mana Geysers scattered throughout Aladiss.
These geysers are marked by blue lines, similar to quest markers, and appear randomly in open fields. Listen for dialogue cues like "There's something we can find around here," which signals a nearby geyser.
While geyser locations are random, they have fixed spawn points within each region. Use markers to revisit promising spots. The type of Particle (Fire, Ice, Bolt, Air, or Neutral) depends on the geyser's location; for instance, those near rivers often yield Ice Particles. The region also influences Particle size (Small, Medium, Large).
Additional, less reliable sources include:
Mana Geysers and Mana Rift Crystals remain the most consistent sources. Collected Particles are added to your Container upon visiting a building with one. Certain skills boost Particle acquisition.
Later in the game, the Mana Converter facility allows you to convert Energy into Particles.
Particle Usage
Particles are primarily used at the Recipe Recall Station:
Particle Conversion
The Particle Conversion skill (300 Skill Points) lets you convert larger Particles into smaller ones (but not vice-versa):
Conversion Type | Rate |
---|---|
Medium to Small | 1 to 4 |
Large to Small | 1 to 8 |
Large to Medium | 1 to 4 |
This is particularly useful in the mid-to-late game when you may have an abundance of larger Particles but require smaller ones for older recipes.
