This command seems to be used less frequently.
I am a PHP programmer. I personally feel that this command is quite useful for checking the text encoding and line breaks of files. Sometimes I get frustrated by the encoding and line breaks in windows and linux systems
I use it to check the file type, and I can tell whether it is a 32-bit or 64-bit executable file.
