apache - Is it possible to achieve the same function without setting up a plug-in in the browser?

Question

Openssh is installed in my router and runs automatically in the router.
ssh -D 192.168.1.1:1080 root@vps_ip
Open the browser every time you want to access the Internet and use the socks5 proxy of autoproxy
(192.168.1.1 1080 settings)
Is it possible to configure another service on the router to accomplish the same action without using the browser plug-in?
