I want to install a Linux system on my computer, but the Lenovo Xiaoxin air13pro I use seems to have changed the hard drive of Lenovo. So it doesn't seem possible to install dual systems directly. I just want to install it on a mobile hard disk.
I also read a lot of installation tutorials on the Internet. But because I have never been exposed to this aspect, I have a few relatively novice questions.
1. If the Linux system is installed on a mobile hard disk, can the hard disk be removed? Or does it have to be plugged into the computer all the time? Or plug it in when using it and then reboot into Linux.
2. If Linux is installed on the hard disk, can this hard disk only be used for this system unless the hard disk is directly formatted?

Many Linux systems provide a liveCD version, which can be installed anywhere, such as U disks and CDs
