Why does smtp mailbox sending always fail?

Question

1. If the phpmailer file is not modified and smtp is not replaced with SMTP, "SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.hhh" will appear.

2. After modification, "Could not instantiate mail function.hhh" will appear.
