About merging rows and merging columns

Question

colspan attribute specifies the number of columns that a cell can span.

The rowspan attribute specifies the number of rows that a cell can span.

Personally, I would like to suggest that you can change it and explain it without merging it. . . When using EXCEL, I am used to merging cells horizontally into rows and vertically into columns. It took me a while to figure it out! ~~~
