There are many reasons for this - -

Solution:
1. Try using cnpm instead. If it can be installed, it means your npm has a network problem.
2. If cnpm does not work, it means you need to install some or all of VC+VC-Compiler+VS+WINsdk, which are available on Microsoft’s official website
